Meniscus Repair Surgery 3D Video for Patient Education The primary goal of this project is to develop a clear, comprehensive, and empathetic 3D video that explains the process of meniscus repair surgery using specialised tools. The video aims to educate patients and their families about the surgical procedure, enhancing their understanding, alleviating anxiety, and facilitating informed decision-making regarding the treatment of meniscus injuries.
We began with in-depth research and discussions with medical experts to accurately understand the surgical steps. A simplified script was written in patient-friendly language, followed by a detailed storyboard to visualise each phase of the procedure. This ensured clarity in communication and alignment with medical accuracy before animation began.
Anatomical structures and surgical instruments were modeled with precision. We developed styleframes and visuals that balanced clinical accuracy with visual simplicity to aid comprehension for non-medical viewers.
The surgical process was animated step-by-step with smooth, clear transitions. A calm, informative voiceover guided the narrative, resulting in an educational and reassuring experience for patients and caregivers alike.
